This exercise was to practice speed drawing and simplicity in terms of colour and blending. I wanted to achieve a balance between messy drawing and coherence. This has since been turned into a card design available in my shop.
I spent about two hours on this exercise. I was working on speedier drawing as before, but also limiting my colour palette without losing details or contrast.
This was a practice exercise to try to improve my speed sketching while still creating easily recognisable faces. It took about 45 minutes to complete.
