My Save the Dates

I found these inspirations on Etsy. I loved the Star Wars logo (and we’re called Luke and Leah so it’d be rude not to run with it), but the more vintage, weathered look of the more comic style invite.

I wanted to include our favourite ships (we’re prequel kids so we love the N1 & Jedi Starfighter) in a style that matched the celestial, sketched vibe I was going for. I grabbed some reference images and sketched them out in Procreate.

I got a free Star Wars font and made the logo in Illustrator with an envelope warp.

The clouds, stars, mountains and other details were from a set on Envato Elements.

N1 & Jedi Starfighter on the final design

All these elements were combined into the final desgin in Illustrator.

The Luke & Leah logo was cut with adhesive gold foil on the Cricut and applied with transfer paper. It took a very long time, but it looks amazing.

I was so chuffed with the result, I demaded friends send me pictures of the invites on display in their houses!
